Peach-fronted Conure
In the nursery, hand-feeding now!
Peach-fronted Conures are vibrant, small parrots native to central and eastern regions of South America, including countries like Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay. They feature bright green plumage with a distinctive peach-colored forehead and face surrounded with a beautiful blue accent. These intelligent and social birds often form strong bonds with their owners and enjoy interactive play and mental stimulation. In the wild, peach-fronted conures typically inhabit open woodlands and savannas, where they feed on seeds, fruits, and nuts. As with all pet parrots, they require ample space and social interaction to thrive. Due to their appealing appearance and engaging personalities, they are popular among pet bird keepers.
As with all pet parrots, they require ample space to allow for exercise, play and physical activity in addition to social interaction to thrive. A diet relying mainly on seed mixes is too high in fat in addition to being deficient in vitamins A and D and calcium which will lead to health problems. Appropriate diets for pet parrots may include pellets, sprouts, a variety of fresh produce, and a small amount of seed.
