Nicobar Pigeon
Currently not available
The Nicobar pigeon is native to the Nicobar Islands, the Andaman Islands, and parts of Southeast Asia. Known for its vibrant, iridescent plumage that displays shades of green, blue, and bronze, the Nicobar pigeon is closely related to the extinct dodo. These birds have a sturdy build and a distinctive appearance that sets them apart from other pigeons. Primarily frugivorous, they feed on fruits, seeds, and small invertebrates. Nicobar Pigeons do best in a large, planted aviary where they can be housed in a colony with many other Nicobars and other similar-sized non-aggressive birds.
